Integration through Adaptation
The site’s topography is characterized by pronounced elevation changes along its entire perimeter, creating a highly distinctive and complex morphology. These variations, present in multiple directions, significantly influenced the architectural approach adopted for the residence. The proposed concept is clearly reflected in the site placement and volumetric composition. From the outset, the integration of a basic yet functional program — meticulously adapted to the terrain’s constraints — was a guiding principle throughout the design development.
A Striking Northern Elevation
Villa PAU adopts a contemporary architectural language, seeking a harmonious integration with the surrounding built and natural context while contributing to its enhancement.
The house is oriented toward the South, with a more enclosed façade facing North. This intentional orientation is accentuated by a visually impactful wooden screen, which not only provides privacy and protection but also defines the primary architectural identity of the residence.
Particular emphasis is placed on the main exterior entrance — a sheltered area that graciously receives visitors. This architectural element is articulated as a distinct volume, subtly detached from the main structure, thereby reinforcing its prominence within the overall volumetric composition.
