Adding Value
Facing one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, the purpose was to renovate a house with an already inspiring design, created by architect Vasco Vieira, characterized by a geometry rich in curves.
Valuing the work previously carried out was one of the fundamental premises of the project.
Simplify and Define
The decision was made to highlight the most expressive existing lines, eliminating much of the visual noise by reducing accessory and secondary elements. This approach allowed for a simplification of processes, with clear effects on the final result.
The curved glass balustrades reinforced the geometry of the terrace and its slab, simplifying the southern view of the building.
The spaces, both exterior and interior, were redesigned to assume greater autonomy without losing their connection to each other. The introduction of substantially larger green areas helped to free the house from the adjoining plots.
The installation of pivoting exterior doors created a fluid connection between interior and exterior, promoting visual and physical continuity between the spaces.
The differentiation of the outdoor flooring highlights and enhances the elevated swimming pool.
